Carl Tyler Shenkman, MD, JD, LLM, is a Board-Certified Neurologist with fellowship training in epilepsy and neuro-critical care management.
Dr. Shenkman completed his neurology residency at New York Medical College’s St. Vincent’s Medical Center. He further specialized in epilepsy and neuro-critical care management through advanced training at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center’s Neurological Institute in Manhattan.
Beginning his career in Atlanta, he later relocated to the Golden Isles of Southeast Georgia, where he successfully established and ran a neurological practice for 20 years.
In addition to his medical career, Dr. Shenkman pursued legal education while maintaining a full-time practice. He earned a Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2014, followed by a postdoctoral Master of Healthcare Law (LLM) from Loyola School of Law, Chicago, in 2016. With extensive experience, he is recognized as an expert in analyzing the cause and effect of neurological injuries across various cases.
Dr. Shenkman also has a certification in Life Care Planning. This allows him to serve as an expert, evaluating future medical needs and economic considerations for individuals affected by neurological trauma.
