If you do not have insurance and wish to be seen by an Orthopedic specialist, Georgia Spine and Orthopaedics offers a self-pay option.

What is an MRI?
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is commonly warranted when there’s a need to view detailed images of soft tissues, such as cartilage and ligaments. MRI machines use a powerful magnet combined with radio waves and computer technology to provide detailed images that help diagnosis and create treatment strategy for a wide variety of conditions. What is an EMG?
Electromyography (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) are special tests used to detect neuromuscular disorders. They are commonly ordered if you are experiencing pain, tingling, weakness or numbness. An EMG is a test that allows your physician to record the electrical activity of muscles. A NCS is a non-invasive study that allows your physician to evaluate the speed and intensity of electrical signals that travel through nerves and the time it takes muscles to respond to these signals. What is an FCE?
A Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) is a comprehensive medical assessment of an individual’s capacity to perform work related activities. The assessment will include a variety of tests such as: physical strength, balance, ability to lift/carry, ability to sit/stand/walk, stamina, and range of motion. My insurance company is asking me for forms from the doctor that need to be completed, how long will that take, and where should I send them?
Forms take approximately 48 to 72 hours to complete. Forms should be emailed to our Clinical Department at clinical@gaspineortho.com or faxed to 770-338-9103.
